HALMER DESIGN, that's me: Martina Halmer, a volcanologist. I have lived and worked in countries such as the U.S.A., Brazil, Chile, the U.K., Denmark, Germany and many more and have now found a wonderful, adopted home in Vienna.
As a side-line, I love to work creatively with new and sustainable materials in order to design new things from them. This is how my fair-trade label in Vienna's District "Seestadt" came into being.
For a long time, I looked for a backpack that could meet my requirements in terms of sustainability and durability, but I couldn't find one. So I came up with the idea of designing my own backpack according to ideas fom myself and friends. I didn't want to settle for "there's no such thing".
HALMER DESIGN was born in passing - a label that works with vegan wood-leather or
environmentally friendly plastic fleece, producing exclusively fairly and in Austria while paying attention to CO2-friendly delivery routes. - Who are you?
